As explained in our FAQ, CarterCopters does not currently plan to solely manufacture either kits or certified versions of any of our concepts. Instead, we plan to partner with other qualified companies (not just aircraft companies) to build different configurations of aircraft using Carter technologies, or to license individual components to conventional aircraft manufacturers (prop, rotor, landing gear, low drag mast and rotor head, etc).

To help demonstrate the demand for Carter aircraft to these other companies, we would like to be able to show them a list of persons with a serious interest in buying Carter aircraft. Therefore, we have decided to encourage interested pilots to reserve non-transferable production numbers in exchange for a refundable deposit. A large number of deposits would demonstrate the level of interest to potential investors and manufacturing partners and help convince them to start production. Please understand that these deposits will be held in escrow, and not used to help finance Carter Aviation Technologies. Any small interest generated by these deposits will be used for escrow and administrative costs.

The first manufacturing company in each category (kits and certified, propeller and jet) will be required to respect these purchase deposit agreements. Your refundable deposit would be transfered to this company upon your written approval and would give you the right of first refusal to purchase their version of a Carter aircraft corresponding to your production number, within 30 days from the date you receive certified written notification of a firm delivery date and final price.

Interested Parties should:

1. Read the Frequently Asked Questions about the products, time until availability, kit construction time, cost, etc., to be available from licensees.
2. Print a copy of the Purchase Deposit Agreement and fill it out.
3. Those with U.S. based banking should include a check for the appropriate amount. All others should contact the webmaster via e-mail for instructions for wire transfer.
4. Send the Agreement and deposit to Carter Aviation Technologies for each version desired.

Carter Aviation Technologies will then assign you the next production number available and send you notification of your production number.
