Carter Announces VIP Trip Winner

Wichita Falls, TX - Carter Aviation Technologies (Carter) of Wichita Falls, TX is announcing the winner of a trip to Carter's Private VIP Reception and Press Conference scheduled when their new Personal Air Vehicle (PAV) Prototype is ready for its first public flight demonstrations. Carter and the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce & Industry are sponsoring the trip. The drawing was held during EAA's AirVenture 2009. Entries were submitted at the Carter exhibit in the EAA Member Welcome Center where Carter's new PAV prototype was debuted.

The winning entry was drawn on Sunday, August 2nd, by Jim Sweeney, EAA's Director of Market Research & Analysis. The winner is John Amdor of Defiance, IA. John will receive airfare, two hotel nights, a weekend car rental and his personal invitation to attend the Private VIP event.

John is an EAA member and belongs to Chapter 80 in Omaha Nebraska. He has attended every AirVenture since 1996. He is also an AOPA member. John has been a private pilot since 1994 and usually flies a Piper Warrior. He has just completed his instrument rating. John is a retired veterinarian whose hobbies include amateur radio and geo-caching.

"We are very pleased to announce the four companies are: VX Aerospace of Morganton, NC, Dynamic Composites of New Zealand, Eagle Aviation Technologies, Inc., Hampton, VA and Liberty Aerospace, Inc., Melbourne, FL."

According to Anita Infante, Carter's VP of Marketing, "John was quite surprised when I called him to let him know he had won. I had to assure him a couple of times."

Infante went on to note, "Part of our effort with the drawing was to gain information on the interest that EAA members will have in our aircraft technology. We asked entrants to fill out a brief questionnaire on kit and certified versions of the PAV. We will use the results as a guideline in our future planning."
