2004-12-16 - Two Additions, and a few corrections:

• Added our 4-Place Personal Air Vehicle to the Concepts page.
• Added our 6-Place Business Aircraft to the Concepts page.
• Replaced previous performance spreadsheet for the 2-Place Personal Air Vehicle with a Max Speed Performance Spreadsheet based on using a 200 HP engine. Modified the text in on the main page to reflect the 200 HP engine.
• Corrected text on mu definition to read, "the μ ratio is the ratio of the forward speed of the aircraft to the rotor tip speed relative to the aircraft," and fixed the corresponding equation.

2004-12-13 - Made two additions and one change today:

• Added our 2-Place Personal Air Vehicle to the Concepts page.
• Added the question What are the mu ratio and the mu-1 barrier? to the Carter FAQ.
• Changed all dates on this page to the international date format (YYYY-MM-DD).

2004-12-06 - Changed all dates in the Weekly Update Archive, the homepage, and in the left-hand navigation menu to the international date format (YYYY-MM-DD).

2004-11-29 - Overhauled the entire website. On most pages, only the "look" of the pages was changed, not the actual content. A copy of the Old Homepage is available for comparison. The changes are listed below.

• Redid the homepage. Replaced previous text with a description of the company, and put that description at the top of the page. Moved the 3-D flash animation to the CarterCopter Technology Demonstrator page.
• Shortened the navigation menu to make it easier to navigate and so that people don't miss topics. This required several new sub-menu pages: OSAC, CarterCopter Technology Demonstrator, Concepts and Technologies, Papers and Reports, Business Plan, and Links.
• Added a Search option to the navigation menu.
• Created a new Landing Gear Technology page.
• Added a picture of the Heliplane Hydra-Blaster concept to the Heliplane page. Moved most images from that page to a separate Heliplane Images page.
• Put a link to the Popular Mechanics 2000 Design & Engineering Award page on the Articles & Media page.
• Changed all dates on the Press Release Index to the international date format (YYYY-MM-DD). This change was carried into each of the press releases.
• Corrected a typo on the Press Release Index. The 2002-01-17 Press Release is now listed as, "CarterCopters Receives Propeller Patents," instead of, "Flight Envelope Expands to a Mu of 0.6."
• On the last page of the Photo History Slideshow, an additional photo and description were added, showing the CarterCopter in a more recent flight.
• Created a new e-mail to subscribe to the CC Alert.
  Update 2005-07-07: Created a new mailing list. For subscription information, view the page CC Alert Mailing List.
• Cleaned up the code to make it valid HTML (a software package we had used previously really made a mess of it), improve compatibility across different browsers, different systems & different monitor sizes, and to streamline the code in general. There may be a few small formatting changes on some pages because of these code changes.
• Restructured website file directory- i.e. put images and other files in sub-folders and made sure that all filenames meet recommended practice guidelines. If you had made bookmarks to some of our pages, you will have to redo them.

2004-09-27 - New article, Sea Power Magazine- Can Heliplane Fill the 'Connector' Gap in Navy's Sea Basing Concept?

2004-09-03 - Temporarily removed Georgia Tech's "Aircraft Total Power Comparison" presentation, pending an update from the university.

2004-08-31 - Created a new page, showing Georgia Tech's Hub Drag Analysis, which shows the drag savings of the Carter hub compared to conventional designs.

2004-08-13 - Created a new page, showing Georgia Tech's Aircraft Total Power Comparison, which compares the slowed-rotor concept to several other aircraft.
Update 9/3/04:This page has been temporarily removed, pending an update from Georgia Tech.

2004-05-17 - Added a photo and video to the 04/04/2004 b Press Release, Carter is Testing Landing Gear for Licensing.

2004-05-17 - Added a photo to the 04/04/2004 a Press Release, The CarterCopter is Back in the Air!

2004-03-22 - Added a new question to Frequently Asked Questions about the CarterCopter, "How do you handle the problem of blade flutter/divergence on the retreating blade?".

2004-03-15 - Created a new page, Frequently Asked Questions about the CarterCopter.

2004-03-15 - Added a new heading, "FAQ's", with appropriate entries to the navigation menu in the left column of all pages. Slightly reorganized the menu.

2004-02-11 - Created a new page, Heliplane Overview, and added an appropriate entry under "Concept Ideas." This page has an index for information on the Heliplane, so many of the Heliplane entries under "Concept Ideas" were deleted. Also removed the heliplane press release from June 2000, since all of the information is now covered in this new section.

2004-02-10 - Replaced the graphs on the CarterCopter Heliplane (CCH) Transport Graphs page, with graphs that contain updated data and are easier to read.

2004-02-10 - Added Patent #6,435,453, "High Speed Rotor Aircraft," to the Patents Granted page, and updated the bullets at the bottom of the page.

2004-02-10 - Replaced the main photo on the home page with a new photo taken by Jason Bynum.

2004-02-10 - Reorganized the navigation menu in the left column of all pages. More popular pages were moved to the top, and less popular pages were moved towards the bottom.
